Vitamin-D deficiency
Lifestyle News:Which is called 'Sunshine Vitamin', not just a nutrient, but the basis of many important biological functions of the body. Especially for women, this vitamin plays a decisive role in maintaining bones, muscles, immune system and mental health. But unfortunately, today's urban lifestyle and distance from sunlight have made its lack in women a global health challenge.
Research suggests that the percentage of vitamin-D deficiency in urban women in India is more than 70%. The main reasons behind this are-not taking enough sunlight, use of excessive sunscreen, indoor lifestyle, and lack of vitamin-D diet.
1. Constant fatigue and fall in energy
Vitamin-D deficiency first affects energy levels. After working throughout the day, if you feel excessive fatigue or the body looks heavy as soon as it wakes up in the morning, then it can be a sign.
2. Bones and joint pain
Vitamin-D is helpful in the absorption of calcium. Lack of this weakens bones, causing permanent pain in the back, shoulders and knees.
3. Frequently falling sick
Weak immune systems can cause frequent colds, infections or skin allergies. Vitamin-D activates T-Cells, which are essential for the body's immune system.
4. Mood swings and depression
This vitamin is directly related to a neurotransmitter called serotonin. Its deficiency can cause problems like irritability, anxiety and depression in women.
5. Excessive hair loss
Vitamin-D helps in the development of hair follicles. Its deficiency disrupts hair growth, which causes premature hair fall.
6. Slow process of healing wound
If even small injuries are taking time to recover, it is a sign of obstruction in the skin repair process, which may be associated with vitamin-D deficiency.
7. muscle stiffness or cramps
Especially at night, the experience of cramps in the feet or hands, can be a sign of lack of both calcium and vitamin-D.
Vitamin D deficiency is a slow but severe danger, which can give long-term results to women's health. Small changes in timely investigation, awareness and lifestyle are effective measures to prevent this invisible danger.
